MODULE D: WATER RESOURCE ASSESSMENT

Overview

This is the fourth module of the 6-week E-Learning series Fundamentals of Community-Scale Hydro Mini-Grids.  The module is developed in partnership with Skat Consulting, with support from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH and Skat Foundation.

The module provides an overview of the hydrological aspects required in the design and planning of small-scale hydro projects.  It starts with the key parameters, and then presents the different methods for measuring and estimating flow.

The module ends with best practices, including the difference in assessing flow for off-grid and grid-connected systems is also covered.
